
Biography
Alaina spent three years on Canada’s national grappling team, representing Canada in two different FILA World Championships and serving as a coach for the Canadian national team at an international competition in Budapest. She is a Grapplers Quest Pro finalist, a purple belt IBJJF World Championship silver medalist, and the winner of many other regional and international tournaments. She was the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Association’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2010, one of the co-creators of the Women’s Grappling Camp, and the recipient of the OJA’s Appreciation Award for her work in the community. She is also a FILA-certified grappling referee and an OJA/IBJJF-certified BJJ referee.
