Regular BJJ classes typically follow a three-part structure which includes a warm up, technique portion and rolling (sparring) but Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Mat is where you can really develop your skills. This is an opportunity to come together with your teammates and choose a specific technique that you wish to drill or hone a certain skill that you’ve learned. In short, Open Mat is when you work on your weaknesses and become a complete BJJ player.
